Spring arrived early this year and with very reasonable temperatures and lack of rain we have already experienced forest fires and the threats they presented. Our weather watchers report 13 icebergs off the coast of our fair Island. The tourist should get their share of pictures this year and our economy will improve with the dollars they spend. Our oil wells are pumping crude, beyond predictions, new wells will hopefully come on stream, and there are rumors of another refinery being built in the Province. This with the Voisey Bay nickel mines and development of the Lower Churchill hydro project presents a picture of a bright future.
We at KRIDON Enterprises Inc. thank you for sharing the fall and winter with us in business. We enjoyed working with you and look forward to a healthy, busy and enjoyable spring and summer.
This is the first of two Newsletters we publish each year in May and October. We are grateful to you, our clients and friends alike, for any business sent our way and the chance to say thank you, and keep in touch. We hope to keep you abreast of the happenings related to KRIDON Enterprises Inc and let you in on our plans for the foreseeable future. At the same time it keeps our name in the forefront. All comments are welcomed. You can also read this Newsletter on our website at www.fraudbusters.nf.ca.
The past six months or so were not as busy as usually experienced. But, with diversity and continuous marketing we had a successful year. Surveillance doesn’t appear to be as strong as it was in past years. This can be attributed to a few reasons, one being, people from this province are working and living in the central and western Canada, rather than working seasonally there and returning here with injuries that were sometimes suspect, to the Insurance industry and Workers Compensation Branches. I’m sure some of you know other reasons, if you do, and would like to share it with us, we’d be glad to hear it. We are stronger as one.
With the remark, ‘we are stronger as one’, I am brought to the subject of our National Private Investigators Association. As the President of the Newfoundland and Labrador Association I am keenly interested in this new Association and what we can achieve. I especially like our efforts to improve the image of the Private Investigator and allow us to retain and improve the professionalism we have. After all, we are in fact law enforcement and should strive to become as professional as possible. No more television PI’s sleeping at the office, chomping cigars and carrying a whisky bottle. Our clients deserve better.
Our work here at KRIDON during the past six months has been mostly in the areas of surveillance, missing persons, due diligence, security audits, employee integrity checks, confirmation of collateral checks. We also had the chance to check out a person before his “internet sweetheart” would meet with him. We are continuing to improve technically, and keep up with the times. Needless to say, that is a full time job.
